WordCamp Halifax: The countdown is on!

WordCamp Halifax tickets are selling like hotcakes, we only have about 30 spaces left!

If you have not purchased your ticket, do it today as we are not able to sell tickets at the door.   Deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday May 25th.

We will be holding three tracks of programs all during the day, visit the schedule to pick your sessions (but know if you are not liking any session, feel free to head to another room – this is a “law of two feet” event.

We’ve had a change in the schedule: Shelly Peacock will now be offering The “NO Badger” Zone – Sales Tips For Introverts at 4pm.

Wapuu Design Contest: What Will WordCamp Halifax’s Mascot Be?

Wapuu is a cute little critter designed by Kazuko Kaneuchi in 2011 for WordPress Japan and is the official mascot character of WordPress.

It’s distributed under the GPLv2 or later and can be modified by anyone to add regional flair or personality. This means that a new Wapuu design can be considered a ‘forked version’ of the original Wapuu as a symbol of the larger WordPress community. Since its introduction, it has taken the WordCamp scene by storm!
